SMP’s superbly designed Medicines and Controlled Drugs Cabinets are suitable for use on premises such as retail pharmacies, research laboratories, universities, hospitals, nursing homes and in other similar locations and are born out of a quarter of a century of safe making history.
Our specification and build quality exceeds that laid down by the current statutory regulations for the safe custody of controlled drugs. Similar designs have passed other Government organised test standards.
The body of the unit is constructed of 6mm steel plate, fully welded internally using strategically placed stiffeners to give added strength.
The door is secured by means of a multi-point locking system with protection against door removal should the hinges be attacked. The door is “recessed” into the body, giving further resistance to door attack using levers.
Included in the range is the new Double Decker which combines a controlled drugs cabinet and a safe, freeing up floor space.
Our standard finish for cabinets is a textured pearl paint. Alternatively, for sensitive areas, we can plastic coat at little extra cost.
SMP Medicine and Controlled Drugs cabinets are all supplied with adjustable shelving for carrying robust loading.
All cabinets are supplied with fixings for bolting to concrete floors and/or walls. Other fixings can be supplied to order and a full installation service is available.
